Our Policies.

O u r   P o l i c i e s .

Whenever we begin a project we aim to finish it in such a manner that both parties are satisfied.
The policies and general gidelines listed here were created with the intenet of making your business experience hith us a happy and satisfactory one.P
lease read over them carefully.

All projects begin with an estimate. This estimate will be based upon the following two factors:

(1). The information that you, the client, provides for us. We need as much information and details about your project as you can provide. This will aid us in not only developing a clear and more accurate estimate, but help us understand your goals and expectations as well.

(2). The recommended pricing for a project of this nature, provided by our project estimation staff's Guild Handbook on Pricing and Ethical Guidelines.

If this estimate meets with client approval, it becomes the flat-fee for the project itself. We prefer flat-fee negotiations, so we're not racing the clock to complete your work. (Generally speaking, hourly charges tend to affect the finished product adversely.)
We require a 20% down-payment on all projects prior to beginning work. This is drawn directly from the given estimate and will be deducted from the total bill of the completed project.

We will begin work promptly once the down-payment has been received. In the development and creation phase, we may contact you a number of times for clarification on points and for draft approval. This correspondence is important to our continued progress, and helps us develop a product that fills your needs, as opposed to what we think looks good (although the two may happily coincide). A client space will be established online for you to view your project’s progress. The URL, username, and password for this space will be emailed to you upon its creation. To put it succinctly, we will keep you posted.

It frequently occurs that changes are made in the overall project scope once it has already begun. A web design job, for example, may spread to include a logo design and content placement. This will necessarily drive the estimated price up, and depending on the amount, an additional deposit may be required to adjust the 20% down-payment accordingly. Such increases are eminently negotiable.

If you are working under a budget, or have a price cap you’d like to observe, please let us know and we will work with you so you get the most for your money. Rest assured that having a set amount of money to spend does not necessarily mean that all of it needs to be spent with us. We personally consider honest business the most conducive to returning clients.

General Guidelines:

For every job a text document outlining what you want us to do is needed. Additionally, if your plans change, let us know ASAP in writing and signed, as this may directly affect the pricing of your project.

If your project requires a strict timeline, this needs to be stressed before we begin. Although we endeavor to complete all projects in a timely manner regardless of mishaps and this is usually not an issue, it needs to be taken into consideration.

For all projects, we require a 20% down payment based off our estimate, and in some cases may require a contract signed by both parties.

For web development projects Hosting of web sites is the responsibility of the client.Unless requested and agreed upon.If we lose contact with a client for a period any longer than two weeks, we reserve the right to discontinue further business with the client, and keep any paid deposits.
Once we complete a web site project, additional work on the site (anything not specified by the original contract) will need to be negotiated as a separate work order.
Printing and distribution of graphic projects (i.e. posters or business cards) is the responsibility of the client.
We reserve the right to refuse business to any party at our own discretion.
We reserve the right to display any work we produce as portfolio and resumé material.
